During the routine press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 23, a journalist asked that a recent report by the US-China Business Council shows that 82% of American companies in China are profitable. Many companies stated that the uncertainty in US-China relations and tariffs are their biggest concerns at the moment, but they still believe that the Chinese market is crucial. What is the spokesperson's comment on this? In response, spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that investing in China for mutual benefit has become a common consensus among global investors. As of March this year, foreign investors have established a total of 1.24 million companies in China, with an investment amount of nearly $3 trillion, while promoting China's reform and opening up, they have generally achieved growth opportunities and received generous returns. Data shows that in the first half of this year, the number of newly established foreign-funded enterprises in the country has achieved double-digit growth. At the just-concluded third Supply Chain Expo, the number of exhibitors expanded from 55 countries and regions in the first edition to 75, with the number of US exhibitors increasing by 15% compared to the previous year, continuing to rank first among foreign exhibitors. In terms of the scale of companies, over 65% of exhibitors are from Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders, showing their trust in the Chinese economy through their actions. Guo Jiakun said that the recent new measures taken by the Chinese government to encourage foreign investment demonstrate its sincerity and determination to promote high-level opening-up. We welcome companies from all countries, including the United States, to participate in China's modernization process, achieve greater success in integrating into high-quality development, and better development.
