Hong Kong-listed power equipment stocks rose and then fell back, with Orient Electric falling more than 8%.

As of the time of writing, Dongfang Electric rose by 4% in early trading before falling by nearly 9%; Shanghai Electric rose by over 13% in early trading before falling by nearly 1%.
