According to the Securities Times APP, on July 23, the Lithium Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association issued a document introducing the operating conditions of the lithium industry in June 2025 and the first half of the year. In June 2025, the production of lithium carbonate increased, while the production of lithium hydroxide remained basically stable. On the demand side, the production and sales of new energy vehicles continued to grow rapidly, with the installed capacity of power batteries increasing year-on-year. Some enterprises stopped production for maintenance in the first half of the year, while others gradually increased production. Overall, lithium salt production remained stable. The decrease in product prices led to a decrease in enterprise sales willingness, and enterprise inventories increased slightly. On the demand side, the production and sales of power batteries and new energy vehicles continued to grow rapidly, with the proportion of lithium iron phosphate in vehicle installations continuing to increase and the retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles continuing to grow.
