Ten rivers in Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong and other places have experienced flooding exceeding the warning level.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources, from 8:00 on July 22 to 8:00 on July 23, due to local rainfall, 9 rivers including the South Wet River, a tributary of the South Ting River in Yunnan, the Yanying River in coastal areas of southern Guangxi, the Lian River and Moyang River in Guangdong, and the Jiliu River, a tributary of the Erguna River in Inner Mongolia, experienced flooding above the warning level, with the largest exceeding the warning level by 1.33 meters. Additionally, due to high temperatures and melting snow, the flow of the Shata River, a tributary of the Ili River in Xinjiang, slightly exceeded the warning level. Currently, the Ministry of Water Resources maintains a level IV emergency response for flood defense in the provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan, with four working groups from the ministry assisting in guiding and coordinating flood defense efforts along the frontlines in these provinces as well as Jilin.
