The Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance jointly issued the "Notice on the Implementation of the Subsidy Program for Providing Elderly Care Service Consumption Subsidies to Elderly People with Moderate or above Disabilities". The Notice specifies that the subsidy recipients of this project are elderly people who have been assessed as having moderate, severe, or total disabilities. The subsidy program includes home-based, community-based, and institutional elderly care services. Home-based and community-based elderly care services mainly include "six assistance" services such as meal assistance and bathing assistance, as well as rehabilitation nursing and day care services; institutional elderly care services include long-term and short-term services. The subsidy funds will be distributed on a monthly basis via the "Civil Affairs e-Pass" in the form of electronic consumption vouchers. Elderly people with moderate or above disabilities can use the vouchers to offset relevant expenses when purchasing elderly care services within the voucher limit.
