Jiangnan Copper is considering temporarily suspending its copper smelting operations in northern Queensland.

According to reports, Glencore has stated that due to the Queensland government's proposed "potential support" plan falling "well short" of expectations, the company is planning to pause its copper smelting and refining operations in northern Queensland.
