Damp River Valley: Iron ore sales in the second quarter increased by 16.9% compared to the previous quarter.

Brazil's Vale released its production and sales report for the second quarter of 2025, with total iron ore production reaching 83.599 million tons, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 23.6% and a year-on-year increase of 3.7%. The total iron ore sales volume for the second quarter was 77.346 million tons, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 16.9% and a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%. Vale stated that the increase in production was mainly due to strong performance in the Carajs mine in the state of Minas Gerais and record production levels at the S11D mine in the state of Par during the same period. Vale reiterated its forecast for iron ore production in 2025 to be between 325 million tons and 335 million tons.
