From 0:00 to 5:00 on July 22, the Laicheng District of Jinan City, Shandong Province encountered a heavy rainfall process, with the maximum precipitation reaching 364 millimeters. As a result, mountain torrents occurred near Shiwuzi Village and Zhujia Yu Village in Dawangzhuang Town, Laicheng District. According to local preliminary statistics, the mountain torrents destroyed and damaged 19 houses, resulting in 2 deaths and 10 missing persons. After the disaster, local authorities immediately organized rescue efforts, coordinating more than 550 firefighters, police, and armed police to quickly rush to the scene, carrying drones and life detection equipment to search for missing persons and emergency relocate 290 affected residents. As of now, communication in the disaster area has been basically restored, and emergency supplies such as tents, food, drinking water, and medicine have been allocated to ensure the basic living of the affected residents.
