Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the key points for the integration of informatization and industrialization by the year 2025, including 17 items in five aspects. In terms of enhancing the level of intelligence, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology explicitly stated the implementation of the "artificial intelligence + manufacturing" initiative, supporting enterprises in applying general large-scale models, industry-specific large-scale models, and intelligent bodies in key scenarios. 3D printing is a major focus area for artificial intelligence empowerment. Under the empowerment of artificial intelligence, the 3D printing industry is showing three major development trends: popularization, intelligence, and autonomy. With the implementation of the "artificial intelligence + manufacturing" initiative, the 3D printing industry is expected to achieve higher quality development. Li Fangzheng, the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Additive Manufacturing Industry Alliance, stated that the multiple abilities of artificial intelligence have a high degree of compatibility with the industrial characteristics of 3D printing, which will help the latter become one of the main application scenarios of "artificial intelligence + manufacturing".
