The US Department of the Treasury issued a statement saying that it will impose sanctions on oil smuggling and sanctions evasion networks linked to the Houthi armed group, targeting entities and individuals in Yemen and the United Arab Emirates. The sanctioned individuals and companies are among the largest oil product importers and money launderers that provide support to the Houthi armed group.
