Five departments: Promoting high-quality elderly products in 2025 through the "Supporting the Elderly, Assisting Enterprises" program.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other departments are carrying out the "Aid Elderly, Assist Enterprises" activity for high-quality elderly products in 2025, with the activity running from July to December. The key tasks of the initiative include promoting innovation in elderly products, meeting the diverse and specialized needs of the elderly population, encouraging research institutions, industry associations, and key enterprises to establish databases on the behavioral characteristics of the elderly, publishing reports on the insights of aging demands, leading the development of new trends and directions for elderly products. Organizing the recommendation of typical cases of aging-friendly design, encouraging enterprises to explore cutting-edge technologies and core components, and expanding the supply capacity of intelligent health and elderly products and services. Promoting the establishment of academia-industry-research collaboration, constructing platforms such as aging-friendly product R&D centers, design centers, and service centers to enhance the innovative capabilities of the elderly products industry.
