Multiple round trips between Hong Kong and Guangzhou on the high-speed rail were cancelled due to a malfunction.

Today, the Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced that the mainland railway unit reported that due to equipment malfunctions on the mainland section of the relevant line, some high-speed train services from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou East Station on July 22, 2025 are canceled. The canceled train services on July 22 include: from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou East: G6568, G6556; from Guangzhou East to Hong Kong West Kowloon: G6565, G6553. The Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government stated that passengers who need to refund their tickets should refer to the high-speed railway website and process within the specified dates. Passengers are advised to use the 12306 official website or mobile app, and not rush to West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong. Passengers can consider taking the MTR East Rail Line via Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau, or use other cross-border transportation to travel to the mainland.
