Li Bin, deputy director and spokesperson of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on July 22 that six banks have initiated foreign exchange business reform in the first half of this year. Currently, a total of 22 banks are participating in the reform. These institutions include large state-owned commercial banks, national joint-stock commercial banks, city commercial banks, and foreign banks; their business scope has also expanded to cover the entire country. The participating banks have currently evaluated more than 20,000 first-class customers, an increase of 23% compared to the end of 2024.
