Official report: there is air odor in a certain area in Hunan Province. The air quality at 5 monitoring points has reached the national standard.
The Environmental Protection Bureau of Hongjiang District, Huaihua City, Hunan Province reported on July 22 that on the morning of July 19, a video involving an unusual odor in the Hongjiang District High-tech Zone of Huaihua City was discovered on the internet platform, attracting attention from netizens. Upon investigation, it was found that the Hongjiang District High-tech Zone is a concentration area of professional chemical enterprises. Due to the natural characteristics of chemical raw materials and products, the factory area and surrounding areas may sometimes have a certain level of odor due to uncertain meteorological conditions such as wind direction, temperature, humidity, and air pressure. The Environmental Protection Bureau of Hongjiang District, Huaihua City has commissioned a professional air quality testing institution to set up 5 air quality monitoring points in and around the High-tech Zone according to the "Technical Regulations for Manual Monitoring of Environmental Air Quality", and continuously monitor the gaseous organic pollution factors of the enterprises in the park. As of July 21, the monitoring results showed that the air quality at all 5 monitoring points met national standards.
