According to reports, the EU is studying the ban on rental car companies and large corporate fleets from purchasing non-electric vehicles. For CATL, this is of great significance to their growth.
Morgan Stanley released a research report stating that, according to foreign media reports, the European Commission is studying a plan to ban car rental companies and large corporations from purchasing non-electric vehicles for their fleets starting from 2030. The bank believes that this is of significant importance for CATL's structural growth trajectory in the European Union, as using slow-degrading products can enhance the economic benefits of trucks and shared transportation. The EU's annual sales of trucks are approximately 1.5 million vehicles, which means that the total battery market size will reach 200 to 300GWh, while the current penetration rate of electric trucks is only 8%.
