Today, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "high-quality completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan". The person in charge of China Disabled Persons' Federation introduced that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the three-year action plan to promote the employment of people with disabilities has been implemented, and the scale of employment of people with disabilities has remained stable. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, a total of 9.019 million people with disabilities have been employed nationwide, with an additional 2.31 million people with disabilities employed in urban and rural areas. The employment scale has "significantly increased". During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the annual increase in urban and rural employment of people with disabilities nationwide has remained stable at over 400,000 people. The employment rate of people with disabilities has increased by nearly 5 percentage points, and employment is more full. The quality of employment has "significantly improved". Over the past five years, the number of employed individuals with disabilities has increased by more than 20%, with more stable employment and higher incomes. At the same time, 2.17 million urban and rural people with disabilities have participated in vocational skills training, and the quality of employment continues to improve. Next, the China Disabled Persons' Federation will prioritize employment in the 15th Five-Year Plan period, increase policy support, optimize employment services, and improve skill training, allowing more people with disabilities to contribute to China's modernization.
