China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced on the 22nd that the development project of the billion-ton oil field - the Kenli 10-2 oil field group located in the Bohai Sea in China has been successfully put into production, marking the official entry of the largest-scale shallow rock oil field in China into the production stage. The Kenli 10-2 oil field is located in the southern part of the Bohai Sea, with an average water depth of about 20 meters. The proven geological reserves exceed 100 million tons, making it the first billion-ton rock oil field discovered in the shallow layers of the Bohai Bay Basin. It is understood that the oil field is divided into two development projects, Phase I and Phase II. The Phase I development project planned to produce 79 wells, with an estimated peak daily oil and gas production equivalent of about 3,000 tons.
