Turkey announces the termination of the Iraq oil pipeline agreement in July 2026.

According to the official announcement in the presidential decree, Turkey has declared that it will terminate the agreement allowing the Kurdistan region of Iraq to export oil through its territory in July next year. A senior Turkish official familiar with the situation stated that Turkey is dissatisfied with the low utilization of the pipeline under the current agreement and believes that a new agreement will bring greater benefits to both Turkey and Iraq.
