Italian Minister of Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti expressed concern that trade tensions and a weak U.S. dollar could harm the European economy. Giorgetti stated on Friday during the G20 finance ministers meeting in South Africa, "We are concerned about the economic uncertainty and the ongoing trade tensions impacting our economy. The weak U.S. dollar exacerbates the effects of tariff hikes."
