Ministerial meeting on steel industry planning: suggest studying the establishment of a new mechanism for capacity governance.

On July 15, the China Iron and Steel Industry Association organized a meeting of steel industry planning ministers in Chengdu to discuss the report on the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Iron and Steel Industry" and provide suggestions for further planning. Suggestions included: adhering to strict control of increments and smooth exits, following the work guidelines of "strict control of increments, optimizing stock, merging and restructuring, and facilitating exits," studying the establishment of a new mechanism for capacity governance to prevent the continuous aggravation of excess capacity risks in the steel industry, focusing on breaking the "rat race" competition, and maintaining a healthy and orderly survival and development environment for the steel industry.
