Guangdong: GDP grew by 4.2% year-on-year in the first half of the year.

According to the Guangdong Statistical Information Network, in the first half of the year, Guangdong achieved a regional GDP of 6872.54 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 4.2% in constant prices. Among them, the value added of the first industry was 225.88 billion yuan, an increase of 4.2%; the value added of the second industry was 2597.88 billion yuan, an increase of 3.4%; and the value added of the third industry was 4048.77 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6%. In the first half of the year, the added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size in the province increased by 4.0% year-on-year, with the growth rate accelerating by 0.1 percentage points compared to the first quarter, and a 5.3% growth in June. In the first half of the year, the added value of the service industry in the province increased by 4.6% year-on-year, with the growth rate accelerating by 0.3 percentage points compared to the first quarter. In the first half of the year, the province's fixed asset investment decreased by 9.7% year-on-year.
