On July 18th, the Beijing Municipal Economic and Information Bureau held a press conference on the economic operation of the industrial and information software industry in Beijing in the first half of 2025. According to the Beijing Business Daily reporter present at the meeting, in the first half of the year, key integrated circuit projects in Beijing steadily progressed, with 4 mass-produced automotive-grade chips, as well as several new energy vehicle models such as Xiaomi YU7, Ideal MEGA modified version, and Enjoy S9 extended version being released. The automotive manufacturing industry and the electronic information industry continued to play a leading role, with value added growing by 16.7% and 24.6% respectively. In the first half of the year, the city produced a total of 713,000 vehicles, an increase of 24.8% compared to the same period last year, including 262,000 new energy vehicles, an increase of 1.5 times.
