Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: The added value of electronic equipment manufacturing industry in the first half of the year increased by 11.1% year-on-year.

On July 18th, Xie Shangguo, Director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that in the first half of the year, China's electronics and information manufacturing industry showed strong resilience, with stable growth, stable exports, and increased profits. In the first half of the year, the value added of computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries above a certain scale increased by 11.1% year-on-year, which was 4.7 percentage points higher than the growth rate of the overall industrial value added for the same period; from January to May, the total profit reached 216.2 billion yuan, an increase of 11.9% year-on-year. The high-quality development of the software and information technology service industry is progressing steadily, showing stable growth, improved efficiency, and strong capabilities. From January to May, the revenue of the software industry was 55.788 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%; the total profit reached 672.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%. Cloud computing and big data services jointly achieved a revenue of 585.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%.
