The catering company Yunhaiyao was fined the maximum amount of 7000 Singapore dollars on Thursday due to a collective food poisoning incident that occurred at the ByteDance office in Singapore last year. The CEO of Yunhaiyao Group's Singapore branch, LV Zhi Tao, represented the company in court to accept the judgement. Following the verdict, Yunhaiyao issued a statement publicly apologizing to the affected ByteDance employees and the general public, revealing that they have permanently closed the "company meal" service and also shut down their Nafen city branch.
