On July 17, it was reported at the press conference on the economic situation in Sichuan Province in the first half of 2025 held by the Sichuan Provincial Government Press Office that the province's economy in the first half of the year was stable and making progress, with strong support from production and supply, accelerated release of effective demand, and continuous enhancement of development momentum. According to the unified calculation results of regional GDP, the GDP of Sichuan in the first half of the year was 3,191.82 billion yuan, calculated at constant prices, an increase of 5.6% year-on-year. By industry, the value added of the primary industry was 196.33 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2% year-on-year; the value added of the secondary industry was 1,111.15 billion yuan, an increase of 5.3% year-on-year; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 1,884.34 billion yuan, an increase of 6.0% year-on-year.
