A gold mine collapsed in Colombia, trapping 18 people.

On July 17th, local time, a collapse occurred at a gold mine in the city of Remedis in the northeast of Antioquia Province, Colombia, trapping 18 miners. The mayor's office of Remedis reported that the transport rack carrying materials inside the mine shaft fell, causing the collapse of the mine's exit structure and affecting the ventilation system. Currently, rescuers have restored the operation of the ventilation system inside the mine, and the rescue operation is ongoing.
