Pudong has added 12 regional headquarters of multinational companies and 3 foreign-funded research and development centers.

According to Pudong's release, at the latest batch of certification ceremonies for multinational company regional headquarters and research and development centers in Shanghai, 30 newly certified multinational company regional headquarters and 15 foreign-funded research and development centers were awarded certificates. It was learned from the district's Commerce Commission that Pudong has 12 multinational company regional headquarters and 3 foreign-funded research and development centers. From January to May this year, the actual foreign investment in Pudong reached 3.144 billion US dollars, an increase of 32.3% year-on-year. As of now, Pudong New Area has accumulated a total of 488 certified multinational company regional headquarters and 287 foreign-funded research and development centers over the years.
