The second China-EU circular economy high-level policy dialogue was successfully held.
The National Development and Reform Commission announced that on July 14, 2025, the second China-EU high-level policy dialogue on circular economy was successfully held in Beijing. Li Chunlin, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission of China, and Jessica Rosvall, EU Commissioner for Environment, Resilience and Competitive Circular Economy, co-chaired the dialogue. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on the latest developments in the field of China-EU circular economy, sustainable product eco-design, use of recycled materials, plastic recycling, and other topics. In the future, the two sides will fully leverage the leading role of the high-level policy dialogue mechanism under the framework of the memorandum, further enhance mutual understanding and trust, strengthen policy communication and coordination, expand and enrich cooperation areas, support enterprises and institutions in deepening technical exchanges, project investment and financing, and other practical cooperation. Both sides agreed to initiate the update and preparation of the China-EU circular economy roadmap, detail and implement the next phase of China-EU circular economy cooperation goals and tasks, and contribute greater efforts to global environmental and climate governance.
