Slovenia announced that 2 Israeli ministers are "unwelcome"
According to a report by CCTV News, Slovenian Foreign Minister Carl Erjavec announced that Israeli National Security Advisor Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich have been declared "persona non grata" and banned from entering Slovenia. The reason is that the two played key roles in creating an "intolerable situation" in Gaza. Erjavec also stated that Slovenia will become the first EU country to formally make this decision. Ben-Gvir and Smotrich are key members of the ruling coalition led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and hold strong positions on the Palestinian issue, advocating for the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank in violation of international law and opposing a ceasefire in Gaza.
