According to Hunan Daily, on July 17, the Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Shen Xiaoming, presided over a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. The meeting emphasized the need to actively integrate into the unified national market, break the mindset of "each person having their own little piece of land," manage the relationship between proactive government and efficient market, improve and perfect the assessment system for high-quality development, and promote the smooth flow and efficient allocation of resources in a broader scope. Efforts should be made to further leverage Hunan's comparative advantages, address prominent issues in energy use, logistics, and other areas, carry out special actions to regulate law enforcement related to enterprises, abolish outdated policies that hinder the development of private economy, and continue to create a fair, transparent, and predictable business environment. The meeting also emphasized identifying key areas for the development of the marine economy, integrating resources and efforts to carry out core technology research and development, adaptively nurturing the marine equipment industry, and actively creating new economic growth points.
