Chongqing power grid load exceeds 28 million kilowatts, reaching a new historical high.

Due to the continuous high temperature weather, the electricity demand in Chongqing has sharply increased. According to the Chongqing Power Company of State Grid, as of noon on July 17, the load on the Chongqing power grid has climbed to 28.52 million kilowatts, reaching a historical high. The "Xinjiang-to-Chongqing" project, which was put into operation in June of this year, has performed well, with a maximum transmission capacity of 4 million kilowatts, accounting for about one-seventh of the maximum load on the grid. So far, this project has transmitted a total of 2.13 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, which can meet the electricity demand of approximately 91.38 days for all households in Chongqing.
