According to the Securities Times app, Coinbase (COIN.US) is undergoing a rebranding of one of its main applications, aiming to centralize social, chat, payment, and trading functions on one platform. The company stated in a declaration on Wednesday that the app formerly known as Coinbase Wallet will be renamed Base App. Coinbase launched the Base blockchain approximately two years ago, and its importance has been rising steadily. It has generated millions of dollars in revenue and has become a core component of the company's payment strategy. Last year, Jesse Pollack, who led the development of the Base blockchain, joined Coinbase's executive team and was appointed as the head of Coinbase Wallet.
