Technology illuminates the barrier-free competition field, with more than 8,900 athletes expected to participate in the Paralympic Games.

On July 17th, the organizing committee of the 12th National Disabled Persons Games and the 9th Special Olympics Games held a press conference in Guangzhou, focusing on the preparations for the games and the achievements in the development of disabled persons' causes. The use of technology to assist the disabled is the highlight of this year's games. The games will be held in the three regions of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau from December 8th to 15th, 2025. There will be 40 major events catering to athletes with physical, visual, auditory, and intellectual disabilities, with an estimated 8,900 athletes participating.
