Hunan Province signs cooperation agreement with National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine to jointly establish National Chinese Medicinal Materials Germplasm Resource Library.

Reporter learned that on July 16th, the People's Government of Hunan Province and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine signed a cooperation agreement in Changsha to jointly establish a national Chinese medicinal material germplasm resource bank. According to the agreement, the two parties will fully integrate their advantages and resources, build a stable and sustainable strategic cooperation relationship, and jointly promote the construction, operation, and long-term development of the national Chinese medicinal material germplasm resource bank through the key construction of germplasm resource storage facilities, conservation plots, and utilization research centers. The goal is to build it into a strategic facility for the preservation of Chinese medicinal material germplasm resources, a highland of scientific innovation and talents for Chinese medicinal materials, an engine for the transformation of scientific achievements in Chinese medicinal materials, and a high-level platform for international exchange and cooperation in medicinal plants.
