Hu Wenhui, Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office, stated at the press conference on "High-Quality Completion of the '14th Five-Year Plan'" organized by the State Council Information Office that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the State Intellectual Property Office has initiated the construction of a patent intelligent examination and retrieval system, and will continue to improve the system functionality in conjunction with the iterative upgrade process of artificial intelligence. Next, the State Intellectual Property Office will further explore the application of artificial intelligence in examination work, assisting examiners in better understanding invention concepts and conducting technical analysis more quickly. Hu Wenhui emphasized that the application of artificial intelligence in examination plays only an auxiliary role, and the reasoning results generated by artificial intelligence cannot be directly used as examination opinions.
