The Sino-European Cosmetics Regulatory System Exchange Activity Held in Beijing

On July 16, a exchange event on cosmetics regulation systems between China and Europe was held in Beijing. Xu Jinghe, member of the Party group and deputy director of the National Medical Products Administration, attended the event. At the meeting, representatives from the EU Delegation to China, the European Cosmetic Association, and the EU Chamber of Commerce in China gave a comprehensive introduction on the basic situation and latest developments of EU cosmetics regulation systems, definitions and classifications of cosmetics, management of raw materials and ingredients, responsibilities of entities and market access, as well as post-market supervision. Participants from China and Europe had a heated discussion on cosmetics regulation trends, cosmetics classification management, implementation of corporate responsibilities, and post-market inspection. Xu Jinghe stated that it is necessary to further deepen the dialogue mechanism between China and Europe in terms of regulation, learn from international advanced experiences, accelerate the improvement of cosmetics regulation systems, and speed up the transition of China from a cosmetics production powerhouse to a cosmetics strong nation.
