In the first half of the year, the green electricity trading volume in Guizhou increased by 224% compared to the previous year.

According to the news from Guizhou Power Grid Company of Southern Power Grid, from January to June this year, Guizhou traded 43.36 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity, a year-on-year increase of 224%. There were 703 power users participating in green electricity trading, an increase of 7 times compared to last year. In recent years, Guizhou has accelerated the construction of a new comprehensive energy base, orderly developing wind power, photovoltaic and other new energy industries, and striving to build a modern energy system that is clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient. By the end of June 2025, the total installed capacity of Guizhou Power Grid reached 79981 MW, with green power accounting for more than 60%. The installed capacity of wind and solar new energy reached 31.584 MW, accounting for 39.5% of the total installed capacity in the province, surpassing thermal power to become Guizhou Power Grid's largest power source. At the same time, Guizhou continues to improve the trading mechanism, expand the trading scale, and promote the formation of a green and low-carbon production mode throughout society.
