The Zunyi district-level catering industry association's proposal calling for food delivery platforms to stop subsidizing has been withdrawn.

On July 15th, the Red Flower Gang District Catering Industry Association in Zunyi, Guizhou, issued a statement calling for food delivery platforms to stop "cutthroat" subsidies and unfair competition. It was found by reporters that the original text of this initiative had been deleted by the publisher on the public account of the catering association. The association mentioned in the initiative that recent extreme subsidy behaviors such as "free purchase and "18 yuan off 18 yuan have incited vicious price wars below cost to compete for market share in the food delivery industry, causing market operating disorder and serious imbalance in industry ecology. This has led to a vicious cycle where a large number of catering businesses in the district are trapped in "no traffic if not participating, and loss if participating due to price cuts," causing severe impacts and unbearable suffering for a large number of physical stores that rely on dining in.
