The Taiwan Affairs Office condemns the Taiwan authorities for using education materials that distort the threat posed by China: harming Taiwan's young people.

On the morning of July 16th, the Taiwan Affairs Office held a routine press conference. In response to the Taiwan education department completing 13 textbooks on "understanding and reading Chinese threats", expected to be used gradually after the start of school in September this year, spokesman Chen Binhua responded that the DPP authorities disregarded facts, distorted history, attempted to use newly compiled textbooks to sensationalize the so-called "mainland threat", incite "anti-China" sentiments, spread "Taiwan independence" views, and further poison Taiwanese youth after the "Taiwan independence curriculum". Their actions are despicable, their intentions are abhorrent. We strongly condemn this.
