U.S. Secretary of Energy Wright compared the competition of artificial intelligence to the United States' atomic bomb program during World War II. "The AI competition is the second Manhattan Project," Wright posted on social media. During World War II, the U.S. government's Manhattan Project successfully created the atomic bomb, which the U.S. military used to combat Japan in the later stages of the war. In the global competition to conquer artificial intelligence, Trump is facing increasing pressure. In May of this year, while visiting the Middle East, Trump signed a multi-billion dollar artificial intelligence agreement between U.S. companies and Gulf countries.
