Research firm Inflation Insights: June inflation report shows tariffs starting to have an impact.

Omar Sherif and his research firm, Inflation Insights, found the impact of tariffs in the inflation data for June. He wrote, "Today's report shows that tariffs are starting to have an impact." He pointed out that core goods excluding the price drop in cars rose by 0.55% last month, marking the largest monthly increase since November 2021. In June, the slowdown in the growth of service prices helped restrain overall inflation. However, this situation may not continue: "I do not believe that the weakness in future core service prices will suppress the expected rise in core goods prices," Sherif wrote.
