Analyst: The premise for the Federal Reserve's interest rate cut in September is that subsequent reports will not be too poor.
Chris Zaccarelli, Chief Investment Officer of Northlight Asset Management, stated that traders have been closely monitoring the consumer price index report released today, and the Federal Reserve may be even more focused - the internal debate on whether to cut interest rates immediately is still ongoing. Fortunately, this morning's report largely met expectations, with core data showing inflation is under control. If inflation does remain under control, then the Federal Reserve can proceed with the interest rate cut - possibly as early as September; but if subsequent reports show a different trend, the Federal Reserve will have to maintain current policy for a longer period.
