Chikungunya fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the Chikungunya virus, with clinical symptoms mainly characterized by fever, rash, and joint pain. The disease is similar to Dengue fever and is mainly transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. Transmission routes can be blocked by measures such as eliminating breeding grounds and killing mosquitoes. Currently, as we are in the hot and rainy season, mosquitoes are active, and dengue fever, Chikungunya fever, and other mosquito-borne diseases are in a high-incidence period. Therefore, we remind the public to enhance their awareness of prevention and control, regularly overturn containers, remove stagnant water, and eliminate debris to eradicate mosquito breeding environments at the source; strengthen personal and household mosquito prevention measures to avoid mosquito bites; if experiencing similar symptoms mentioned above, seek medical attention promptly and proactively disclose travel history and mosquito bite history. Let's take action together, implement various prevention and control measures, and respond to the challenges of mosquito-borne diseases to protect our healthy homes.
