More than 30 cities support using housing provident fund to pay for the down payment for buying a house.

According to China News, the scope of use of housing provident fund is continuously expanding. Recently, in the "Beijing Municipality Deepening Reform to Revitalize Consumption Special Action Plan" issued by Beijing, a point has received much attention: further leverage the role of housing provident fund to support depositors in applying for housing provident fund personal housing loans while withdrawing provident fund to pay for the down payment on their home purchase. This policy is rapidly being promoted nationwide. According to incomplete statistics from Zhongzhi Research Institute, more than 30 cities including Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Xi'an have followed suit in issuing relevant policies on withdrawing provident fund to pay for down payment.
