According to Reuters citing two government sources and two Thai media outlets, the Thai Finance Minister will propose this recommendation to the cabinet on Tuesday, nominating Vitai Ratanakorn as the central bank governor. Vitai Ratanakorn's appointment will need to be approved by the cabinet and the royal family. Vitai is currently the President and CEO of the Government Savings Bank. News outlets Manager and Thansettakij reported on Tuesday that the Finance Minister has made the decision from two candidates.
