The Guangzhou Meteorological Bureau released a report at 21:31 on July 14, 2025, stating that strong thunderstorms have occurred in the central part of Guangzhou in the past two hours. Sushi Street in Haizhu District recorded the highest accumulated rainfall in the city at 78.5 mm, Dongshan Street recorded the highest accumulated rainfall in Yuexiu District at 71.8 mm, Linhe Street recorded the highest accumulated rainfall in Tianhe District at 621 mm, and Meihua Village in Yuexiu District recorded the highest gust of 17.1 m/s. At present, the strong thunderstorm cloud system has significantly weakened, and the rainstorm and thunderstorm warning signals have been lifted for Yuexiu District and Tianhe District in Guangzhou starting from 21:28 on the 14th.
