Polysilicon is the raw material for producing solar photovoltaic cells, and its purity directly affects the conversion efficiency of downstream solar cells. Chinese photovoltaic companies have reduced the market price of high-purity polysilicon from the peak of 3 million yuan per ton to around 40,000 yuan per ton in 5 years. Now, out of every 10 solar cells manufactured globally, 7 of them use China's polysilicon raw materials. Today, the high-purity polysilicon produced in the photovoltaic field fully meets the requirements for manufacturing semiconductor chips. This technological resonance, which began with the improvement of polysilicon purity, is reshaping the underlying logic of global high-end manufacturing.
