On July 13th local time, according to well-known technology journalist Gurman's report, Apple's Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams recently announced that he will retire later this year, kicking off one of the largest executive shake-ups at Apple in the past decade. The report stated that Apple CEO Cook is likely to continue to lead Apple for at least another five years. One reason for the expected comprehensive restructuring of Apple's management team is that many of Apple's executives are over 60 years old. Each of them has made billions of dollars and they cannot possibly take on the position of CEO, so for many of them, retirement time has come.
