On July 13th local time, WestJet Airlines of Canada stated that around 23:00 on July 12th, a Boeing aircraft parked at Vancouver International Airport had a "small exhaust pipe fire" in the engine. The crew used the slide to evacuate dozens of passengers and there are currently no reports of injuries or casualties. A spokesperson for Vancouver International Airport stated in a statement that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft has been grounded for maintenance. The incident did not affect airport operations or flight schedules. The Canadian Transportation Safety Board later stated that a team had been dispatched to collect information and assess the situation of the accident. (CCTV News)
