A Boeing 737 passenger plane in Canada had an engine fire.

On July 13th local time, WestJet Airlines in Canada stated in a press release that at around 11pm on July 12th, a Boeing aircraft parked at Vancouver International Airport experienced a "small engine exhaust pipe fire". The crew evacuated dozens of passengers using the slide, and currently there are no reports of casualties. A spokesperson for Vancouver International Airport stated in a release that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft has been grounded for maintenance. The incident did not affect airport operations or flight schedules. The Canadian Transportation Safety Board later announced that an investigation team has been dispatched to "gather information and assess the situation".
